Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) has four streams:-

1. Graduate work stream

This stream is for international students who have completed qualifications in occupations that are in high demand in Australia. It allows them to live and work in Australia for up to 18 months. The stay is temporarily increased in Australia to 24 months for visas (from 1 December 2021). The British National and Hong Kong Overseas passport individuals stay for five years.

2. Post-study work stream

Post-study work stream is for international students who have completed a higher education degree (bachelor's, master's, or doctoral) in Australia. The length of the visa granted under this stream depends on the level of study completed. Bachelor's and master's degree holders can stay for two to four years, while doctoral degree holders can live up to six years.

3. Second post-study work stream

The second post-study work stream applies to those individuals who have completed their degree from a regional Australian Institution. It allows you to stay between 1 to 2 years depending upon your post-study and regional location.

4. Replacement Stream

This replacement stream visa is applicable for current and former Temporary Graduates, who lost their visa application due to some restrictions such as covid 19, travel restrictions, etc. This visa allows a candidate to stay in Australia for 18 months to up to 5 years.

• You must be under 50 years of age.
• You must hold an eligible qualification that is closely related to an occupation on the skilled occupation list.
• You must have obtained a positive skills assessment for the nominated occupation.
• You must have competent English language skills.
• You must meet the health and character requirements.

Post-Study Work Stream:

• You must be under 50 years of age.
• You must have completed a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Master's (extended) degree, Master's by research degree, or a Doctoral degree in Australia.
• The duration of your visa under this stream depends on the highest educational qualification you have completed in Australia.
• You do not require a skills assessment.
• You must meet the health and character requirements.
